Nasal Prong Cannula

• A nasal prong cannula is a lightweight clear plastic tube used for administering oxygen to a patient.
• It has one end forking into two prongs which are placed in the nostrils and from which oxygen flows.
• The other end of the tube is connected to an oxygen supply such as an oxygen concentrator, or a wall connection in a hospital via a flow meter.

STATIONARY OXYGEN CONCENTRATORS

These can mainly be used at home, medical centers and hospitals. They can only be used in places where there is AC electric power. Though we classify them as stationary, they have wheels for convenient movement within the house where the patient resides while using them.
